Plugin-related Questions

Q: How do I make a faction?

A: The command /f create [Factionname] (Do not add the brackets) will create a faction.

Q:  How do I find more Faction commands?

A: The command /f help will tell you any and all faction-related information you would need to know.

Q: How do I buy or sell items in the shop?

A: To buy an item, left-click the sign that’s attached to it. To sell an item, right-click the sign.

Q: What is mcMMO?
A: An awesome plugin that lets you level up skills like an RPG. I highly suggest checking out the mcMMO Wiki for more insight. Alternatively, you can type /mcmmo in-game for a basic explanation. For reference, our mcMMO configuration is, for the most part, stock. 

Gameplay-related Questions

Q: How the heck do I get out of spawn?
A: Walk in a straight line in any direction. You will leave the inner gate of the Spawn area, and encounter the Safezone-Warzone border of snow and glass. After passing the border, you will have to move through the Warzone until you find claimable land. Most of the land around spawn is going to be claimed, so you will have to walk for a little while to find Wilderness, which is claimable land for your faction.

Q: People are camping Spawn and killing me. Is this allowed?
A: Yes, though you don't have to allow it to happen. Spawn campers cannot cover every exit from the spawn. Just leave through a different door.

Q: I made it through the Warzone, but I can't claim any land. Why not?
A: You're probably on land that belongs to another faction. Try looking for Wilderness first.

Q: My stuff’s gone from my chests. Where did it go, and can I get it back?

A: You were likely raided. That is to say, a player invaded your base, and took your items. The only way to get your items back is to find the player that stole them, and steal them back!

Q: How can I protect my items?

A: If your chests are on land that your faction has claimed, then you can place any type of opaque block, such as dirt or cobblestone, on top of the chest and it can’t be opened.

Q: Is that all I have to do to protect them?

A: There are other ways to raid your chests, such as claiming your land, and removing the block by force. For a guide on land claiming, visit the Tips section of the community site. It is also possible to destroy the block on the chests with TNT.

Q: There are players in-game with colored tags by their names. How do I get one of those? What do they mean?

A: Those are donation ranks. Those players donated a certain amount of money, and got a rank that correlated with the amount of money they donated. To see more information on Donations, visit the Donate section of the community site.

Q: I was griefed, and my base was altered/destroyed! Is this allowed!?

A: Yes. It’s time for you to rebuild.

Q: I can't make a portal, how do I get to the Nether?
A: Portal creation is disabled. Please use the Nether portal at spawn.

Q: Is The End enabled?
A: No.

Q: I want to get some free items from an admin. Will he ever give me any?

A: Short answer? No. Long answer? Nooooooooooooooo.

Q: Can I have Op?

A: No.

Q: Hi, I work at Planet Minecraft! Can I-

A: No. Go away.

Client Modification Questions

Q: What type of mods are okay?

• Mini-map.
• Chest and inventory sorter (but autoequip is NOT allowed!)
• Spoutcraft (but autosprint is NOT allowed!).
• Brightness mods.
• Basically any keyboard/command macro is fine. Keep in mind that our anti-bot plugin might ban you if you are firing off commands too fast though. 

Q: What types of mods are illegal?

• Obviously any type of client purposely designed for cheating.
• Mods that give a distinct advantage in PvP. Examples: aimbot, forcefield, potion stack, autosprint/autocrit, autoequip.
• Mods that give a distinct advantage in raiding. Examples: Xray, vclip.

Moderator-related Questions

Q: Someone was hacking! How do I go about getting him banned?

A: We need proof. Take a convincing screenshot or video of him hacking, and send it here.

Q: I was banned unjustly! How do I argue my case?

A: Go to the Appeal Ban section of the SwaggerCraft forums to appeal your ban. An admin will review your case.

Q: A moderator was being unfair and punished me unfairly! Who do I talk to about this?

A: You can either file a report on the SwaggerCraft forums, or you can personally contact either Mash_Tactics or LaserLag to dispute a mod’s actions. Do not argue with the mods about it.

Q: I think one of the administrators is favoring a faction! Is this true?

A: Not even remotely. Quit listening to gossip. We love all our children equally.

Q: I was raided/killed by a moderator! This can't be fair, right?
A: Moderators have no powers that are advantageous in PvP, raiding, or anything really. Their powers are strictly limited to what they need to do their moderating duties. They can check cheat violations, ban, mute, and kick. They can NOT spawn items, enter god mode, go invisible, fly, or anything like that. 

Q: I don’t like one of our moderators. Can I call him vulgar names that call his sexual orientation into question? Can I call him any offensive names?

A: If you do, you can guarantee that we may bring your eligibility to play on the server into question. You don’t have to like our mods, but you cannot degrade them in any overly-harsh way. Keep it clean, and bring up your issue with an admin.

Q: I want my shot at being a mod! Where do I apply!?

A: While I do not think we are looking for any mods at this time, you can always apply here. We will look back on these applications for potential future-mods.
